Designed to reduce the amount of insulation/coating required to be removed from a pipe for inspection. The ROTIX – Reduced Width Scanner may operate in as little as 10 cm (3.94 in) of width during single probe scanning, while dual probe scanning may be achieved with a width of only 25 (9.84 in) necessary. With integrated positional encoding and a chain system that permits scanning on both ferrous and non-ferrous surfaces, the reduced width scanner is the optimal choice when a minimal footprint is required (i.e. coating/insulation removal near a girth weld, elbows, flanges, etc.).

This product does not have additional information.

Minimal Footprint

Single probe scanning requires a width of only 10 cm (3.94 in), while dual probe scanning can be achieved with a width of only 25 cm (9.84 in).

Adjustable Chain

Inspect pipe diameters of 10.2 cm – 96.5 cm (4 in – 38 in) with the chain system. The quick release links are designed to be added or removed with ease.

Double Wheel Chain

A double wheel chain straddles the weld during scan operations. This allows the scanner to be centered on the weld, which reduces wandering and the width of the scanner.

Four Probe Scanning

With the addition of a ROTIX – two probe reduced width add-on kit, the scanner will accommodate four probes.

Wheels

The wheels of the ROTIX are coated with urethane to reduce the effects of foreign debris obstructing the motion of the scanner. Magnetic wheels may also be substituted.

Integrated encoder

A positional X-Axis encoder is integrated into the reduced width link. The encoder output is fully compatible with all standard instruments.

Probe Holders

Extremely versatile vertical probe holders affix the probes to the scan surface. Near infinitely adjustable, the included vertical probe holders are compatible with most significant types of phased array wedges.

Warranty

Reliability and craftsmanship are hallmarks of the JIREH brand, but should you have trouble, we back our products with a 3-year warranty.

Component Identification

1 Vertical Probe Holders

The vertical probe holder has multiple adjustment options for various scanning applications.

2 Reduced Width Link

The reduced width link offers a means of non-ferrous scanning requiring a minimal footprint also containing an integrated encoder.

3 Catch Link

Connect the buckle to the catch link and complete the chain configuration.

4 Short Link with Dovetail

Mount various accessories such as cable management.

5 Short Link

Assemble the required amount of links to complete a scanner configuration.

6 Long Link

Roughly equivalent to 3 short links, the long link is useful during large diameter scans.

7 Buckle

The buckle connects to the catch link and can adjust the tension of the chain around the scan surface.
