Inspect materials with a temperature of up to 350°C (662°F) with confidence using the ROTIX – High Temperature 3-Axis Nozzle Scanner. A specialized long-stroke probe holder includes encoded skew angle measurement, while the scanner employs a chain system for stable inspection on both ferrous and non-ferrous surfaces. The scanner is also capable of limited clearance inspection, requiring just 12.7 cm (5.0 in) between the vessel and flange.

High Temperature Double Wheel Chain

The chain links have been designed to minimize heat transfer through minimal contact with the heated surface and stainless steel materials. Double wheel chains straddle the weld which alleviates scanner wandering and reduces scanner width.

ROTIX Low Profile Link

In addition to containing the scanner’s positional encoder, the low profile link transmits all three encoder signals to the user’s instrument. Utilize the low profile link’s dovetail grooves to organize cables and tubes.

Slider Probe Positioning System

Make quick adjustment to the probe’s distance to the weld without requiring scanner removal. The included encoder ensures precise measurement along the frame bar.

Y-Axis Encoding

Measure probe distance from the weld.

High Temperature Cable Management

Protective sleeving organizes and protects cables and hoses connected to the equipment.

Cable Management

Cable clips mount to various locations on the scanner, probe holder and frame bar. These simple clips facilitate cable management on the equipment.

Component Identification

 

1 Catch Link

The catch link connects with the buckle to complete the chain system.

2 Short Link

Short links form the chain needed for various pipe and tube diameters.

3 Short Link with Dovetail

The addition of the dovetail allows for the mounting of accessories such as cable management.

4 Short Transition Link

This link connects both ends of the low profile link to facilitate the high temperature chain links.

5 ROTIX Low Profile Link

The low profile link contains the system’s positional encoder as well as cable management mounts, the brake, connection point for the frame bar and inputs for additional encoder signals. The encoder output is compatible with most industry-standard instruments.

6 Long Link

Roughly equivalent to 3 short links, the long link is useful for larger diameters.

7 Buckle

The buckle fastens to the catch link and allows control of chain tension.

8 Skew Encoder

Probe skew angle is recorded using the skew encoder.

9 Long Stroke Probe Holder

The long-stroke vertical probe holder offers immense travel over various scan surfaces.

10 Slider PPS

Position the probe holder closer or farther from the weld with ease using the slider probe positioning system.

11 Slider PPS Encoder

Offset position is recorded using the slider PPS encoder.
